Hi everyone! So, an interesting fact about me is that I have Generalized Anxiety, and its something I've been coping with since Kindergarten(says my mom!). I've never been formally diagnosed, but my medical family can confirm. My anxiety is something that I've worked really hard to deal with without the use of medication, even though it means that some mornings I wake up shaking, or other times times I hyperventilate and my fingers start to go numb.

I realize that there are varying degrees of anxiety, and I'm under no false impressions that I have a severe case, I believe I have a very mild case of it, which is why I havent needed medication. But because my parents are in the medical fields, they were able to start me on breathing exercises at a young age, in an effort to help me cope(more on that will be featured in a future blog!).

These are some Bible Verses that have helped me as I've gotten older!

Psalm 46:10 (ESV):

“Be still, and know that I am God…”

This is one of my favorite verses to repeat when I’m feeling anxious, a helpful tip to control my breathing is to repeat this verse, slowly removing words over and over( “Be still and know that I AM,” “Be still and KNOW,” “Be STILL,” “BE,” all the while taking slow deep breathes)

LUKE 12:27 (ESV):

"Consider the lilies, how they grow, they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these."

JEREMIAH 20:11 (NIVUK):
