Summer Recipe: Guacamole!
I LOVE avocados, and(when they're used well) they can be really beneficial to your health! My post from this morning talked about graduation, since we're right in the middle of high school graduation season! This recipe for "Guac" is one of my favorite party foods, and would be great addition to any get together.
My recipe is really simple, but if you want a recipe that has more ingredients, check out this one over at the Smell of Rosemary! Izabella's blog has so many AMAZING sounding recipes, I'm really excited to try out some them!
When I make guacamole, I use tomatoes(diced), a handful of cilantro, a teaspoon of jalapeños (diced), and half a lemon's juice, garlic powder, and onion powder.
After mashing the two avocados together, mix in the diced tomatoes, garlic & onion powders, and the pepper. I usually add some of the lemon juice to mix in, but then squeeze the rest over the mixture at the end. Lastly, put the guacamole in the refrigerator for about 30 minutes to chill, and then serve! I like to keep a few tomatoes out of the mixture, and then use them as a garnish before I serve it.
Even if you're not a fan of avocados, or guacamole, be sure to check out Izabella's blog – A Smell of Rosemary – I feel like there will almost certainly to be a recipe you'll want to try out!
Have a great weekend!!
