If you feel unsteady, look at the horizon.
This year in my painting practice I made a shift from abstracted landscapes to more concrete feeling landscapes and I’m pretty sure it’s my brain’s way of coping with 2020. As an Art historian with a painting degree that wound up working in the ER, I had a pretty steep introduction to death and sickness and had to quickly learn to cope with those things and became rather good at leaving work at work when I walked through the doors to come home. But this year it’s been a little different. I think the stress of this year (pandemically, and not) has my brain wanting to make something steady.
Something constant where the ground is ground and the sky is sky.
So, that’s the snippet of the INFP-introspective happening in my brain!
