Support Lauren:
If you’d like to support me as a missionary, tax deductible donations can be made to Kenya Relief, HERE.
Other needs and ways to support me can be found HERE (LinkTr.ee/LaurenEich)
Funds from my missionary account and donations through St Matthew’s Madison, Venmo, etc. will be used to pay for my daily cost of living, emergent needs for the children, occasional treats for the kids, or for supplies for art activities!
LISTS FOR SPECIFIC ITEMS NEEDED FOR THE KIDS:
I talked with the head social worker & she let me know that they have a few kids that suffered from some really bad malnutrition (Kwashiorkor’s Disease) before they came to Kenya Relief, and could now benefit from some multivitamins & supplements for brain health.
I made an Amazon list with a few different types of gummies (that I plan to keep with me & give them out while I’m there, and then let the social staff and the dorm parents continue when I come home!) so that all the kids feel included (plus they could all really benefit from a multivitamin!)
In addition to having fun books in my care closet, one of the projects I’d like to work on is gathering up books to update the kid’s dorm libraries!
If you have any new or gently used books, message me!

Help me help the Tooth Fairy!
With the help of my friends on Instagram, I put together a list of items light enough that the tooth fairy could carry these items for the kiddos - shillings/money is too heavy - because these kids are losing teeth SO often!
Last time I was on campus I ended up with a group of little guys I named my BandAid Crew, because they were the ones I’d find every day to put new bandaids & triple antibiotic ointment on their falls, burns, scrapes & rashes.
It works out well though - some of the kids that knew to come to me when they were bleeding will be ones that I work with when I’m doing art therapy activities in May/June! I’m glad to have a connection with these guys so that I’m not a total stranger to them when I go back.
The children are typically either full or partial orphans, many of whom have experienced some degree of trauma. I’ll will be working with children that have experienced physician, mental, or sexual abuse, so the supplies needed also include some books for children and teens that are having to cope with life after horrible situations.
Some of the Kids come from some really heartbreakingly bad backgrounds, and really benefit from some small group / individual art therapy and social emotional learning activities!
When I’m on campus I’ll have the opportunity to work with some of the kids in the Arts & Wellness Room, and will be taking a ton of supplies over with me!
